WE OFFER TWO OPTIONS FOR THE VOLUNTEER

COMMUNITY BASED

This is the traditional program that includes a commitment of two hours per week for at least six months. In this program the term community based means that the "Big" and "Little" can enjoy activities together anywhere within an hour of the Lake Ozark area.

SITE BASED

Contact between "Bigs" and "Littles" with site based matches is limited to their particular site (i.e. the child's school, Boys and Girls Club). The matches meet one hour per week for the duration of the school year.

VOLUNTEER DETAILS
To become a volunteer simply call our office at 573-348-5507, email us at volunteer@lakebbbs.org or print a volunteer information and application packet using the link below. Fill out the information on the application, send it to us and we will get the process started. We conduct a simple interview and run a standard background check on all volunteers. Our staff is trained to match volunteers with children that best suit their personalities, interests and preferences.

Each of us can think of someone who has touched our lives, broadened our horizons and created a little “magic” for us. By becoming a Big Brother or Big Sister you can do the same for a child. The benefits are immeasurable for the child and the volunteer can expect to be changed forever.

OTHER WAYS TO HELP
If you don't have the time to dedicate to being a BIG, you can still help the Big Brothers Big Sisters program by sponsoring a child or contributing to the BBBS scholarship program. You also attend and participate in some of our ongoing fundraising events!
